Our mission is to provide the community with opportunities
to view and participate in underrepresented works and international approaches
to theatre at affordable prices.
After thirty-seven shows in other people’s spaces, Angie Hughes and Ryan Davis decided it was time to open their own theatre company. Portland World Theatre was born in August of 2003. They are having a wonderful time creating costumes, sets, props, masks, and everything else related to putting on shows.
Angie has an M.A. in Theatre Arts from the University of Maine at Orono. Ryan has an M.A. in English and teaches writing and literature at Clackamas Community College.
